No, not really.
This is the first post in this blog/journal focusing on painting (oil, watercolor, gouache). Over the next few posts, I’ll go over tools, paints, mediums, surfaces, and techniques that I personally use.
I should qualify these posts and say that in no way are these posts intended to be didactic, or otherwise instructive. They are my own personal observations, preferences, and notes. There are plenty of great YouTube videos where folks specifically speak about their techniques and processes (there’s a lot of bad ones too!). These posts are more of my own personal art footnotes. We’ll see where it goes from there.
So, thought I’d kick things off by going over a few of my supplies and paint preferences. I’m not sponsored or paid for these recommendations. They are what I actually use and had to pay for myself. In some cases, I’ll provide a link to some of my supplies that may have an affiliate link that you can click on or not. It just means if you do click and buy, we both benefit if you choose to buy any products I recommend, however, most of the links will just be informative, and in all cases are meant to be helpful.
